Wild Canyon Games is unique. It combines running, swimming, biking, geocaching, climbing, zip-lining, and blobbing into a competitive team challenge. Although some of our events are more lighthearted than others, there is nothing lighthearted about the competition, or the way your body will feel by the end of the weekend.
Each team, comprised of 7 members, will work to earn points while competing in events ranging from a 12.5 mile mountain bike race through the high desert of central Oregon, to a zip-lining target shooting competition over water. The team that earns the most points by the end of the weekend will be crowned the 2010 Wild Canyon Games Champion.
Wild Canyon Games is broken down into 3 phases: The first phase features a sprint triathlon. 3 of your 7 team members will compete in a 1 mile swim, 12.5 mile bike ride and finally finish with a 10K run. Simultaneously, the other 4 teammates will compete in a geocaching competition unlike any other. We have hidden 350 plus geocaches throughout 160 square miles of wilderness. Get Ready...
The second phase involves the longest zip-line in North America, a 40 foot high canyon swing, a high ropes course and blobbing. No doubt that these events will not only test your guts but also your athleticism. Get Excited...
The third and final phase will decide it all…it involves a 7 person relay race to the top of the highest peak on the ranch, Communication Hill. Go...
Wild Canyon games is more than just the best team based athletic competition… we will also feature live music by Tyrone Wells on Saturday night, a large bond fire and plenty of great bonding opportunities.
